Questions about Unimax M16

I picked up an M16 this weekend from Target. I threw it in the cart, checked out and never gave it a good look. When I got home I discovered that it had been taped shut. There was scotch tape holding all of the packaging together. The toy seams fine. I just want to know if it comes with removable ga...

Sounds like they intend to use the electronics from a Pershing.

I will buy one if it comes out.

Panther, I currently have 5 Tamiya tanks. 3 of which are full function, a King Tiger with Porsche turret that I upgraded to full function and new gear boxes and a Leopard 1 that is getting DMD and full function. And yes, lots of $$$ has been spent. I whish I could find an inexpensive DMD that operat...

You have to admit, a little drama got this post moving. I have considered purchasing a few Heng Longs since Tamiya has not pursued this sector of the market very aggressively. Now that there are more than just Heng Long and Tamiya we are seeing more variety. Like the Panzer 3 and others. I am ...

Proportional control. Cheap RC tanks usually only have ON/OFF motor control. The Panzer 3 I purchased happened to have two speed controls. Which helps. The Tamiya tanks have full proportional controls along with heavy duty, high reduction gear boxes. If you only move the joy stick a little bit. The ...

$1000? Try Backyardarmor.com. They have great prices and a pretty good selection. BTW you can not compare the Tamiya kits with the likes of Heng Long. I have a Panzer 3, only because Tamiya hadn't made one. The Tamiya tanks have proportional control. Plus all the other bells and whistles. I am glad ...

21st models?

With my back ground in building Tamiya 1/16 scale tanks. I find it difficult not to tear apart the 21st Century toys to clean up all the flashing and repaint them. Well I gave in this week and tore apart a die cast Sherman. I removed all the gear, patched the holes, made a cover under the bustle and...

FOV, 1/18, M4 Sherman acquisition

I have been working with a customer service representative at Target.com in an effort to identify the DPCI or UPC numbers for their 1/18 scale “Only at Target” M4 Sherman. A clerk at the store told me it was an online only product. (I know, I know) With a DPCI of 242-06-3093. This is a FOV 1/32 scal...

Does any one recognize the rear engine deck? It is different from the 21st’s example with the Continental R975-C1 radial engine and BBI’s with the Ford GAA V8.

It looks to me that it maybe an example of a Ford built Sherman.

Hello gents, I found this at Target here in Wisconsin. I was told they weren’t going on sale until Christmas. But I saw three M1A1’s on the top shelf and they didn’t tell me I couldn’t purchase it. The detail is below the BBI Abrams. I will be on the hunt for the Sherman and Tiger. Side by side with...

M48A5 Custom FOR SALE

With the re-release of the 1/18 scale M48A3 I can finally do a few custom versions. I purchased three M48A3s (from three different Wal Marts) with the intention of selling at least one with the L7 gun. I have found photos of M48A5s with this gun, tracks and commanders hatch. So this version did exis...

I was too late. The store closed for good the previous weekend. (teach me to procrastinate)

I apologize for getting your hopes up. I was just trying to help out fellow collectors, since they had them on sale for $30 something the last time I checked.

Sorry

Well I bought that 1942 M38 Mosin Nagant last Wednesday for $130. I felt it was worth every penny since it was in such great shape. Then they went on sale on Saturday, so I went back and got $50 back. I then took their add to Fleet Farm (a local hardware store) and purchased a 1948 M44 they had that...
