I was watching the making of of the Great Raid on Spike last night. Looks pretty good, cant wait to see it. It looks as if Dale Dye is the military advisor so this film is in good hands. Anyway I'll be there on the 12th!

Take care,

I highly suggest the book Enemy at the Gates which the movie is based off of. The movie seems to be somewhat accurate to the book. Its pretty accurate how the Russians were treated. I know I read some where in there about the Russians shooting deserters. The Russian soldiers were afriad of giving up...

1/35 question.

Hello, Well the other day I was at a hobby shop looking for some HO Scale buildings for my layout and I came across some Academy 1/35 German SS Infantry. They were $6.99 so I thought why not?I had always wanted to get some 1/35 stuff. So now that I made those I'm pretty much hooked. So I'd like to k...

Bomb dropping action would be cool. I'd buy a whole squadron then set up my Germans and fly strafing runs. I think it'd be cool if they made it R/C, with the bomb dropping action. If that was the case I'd build a German HQ then fly strafing runs! Well what ever they do it should be good.

To answer your questions Aferguson, the camouflaged were used often. After the Iwo Jima flag raising the American public knew they were Marines by these uniforms. Most men though did use the green standard uniform with a camo helemt cover. So what the 21Century guys have is pretty accurate. So in sh...

I said the 88 just because of how widely used it was. What would be really cool is a coastal defense bunker with a cannon in it like the ones at Merville highly unlikly but would be cool non the less. Back to reality I'd really like to see an 88 with a full crew to man it.

Funny that this poll came up as I just bought Full Metal Jacket. If there were figures from that movie I'd buy them in a heart beat. I can see it know, a Parris Island diorama with R. Lee Ermy screaming at Pvt Pyle, all in 1/18. Oh I can only wish. I think Marines are a must for the Vietnam line, I ...

Mall Call the book

I just picked this book up from my B. Dalton in the mall. It is an excellent book, written by the Gunny himself. Its broken down into six parts, weapons, gear, grunts, airplanes, ships, and vehicles. Its the same questions as on the show, with photos from it. Its 244 pages long, and includes when he...
