Hellcat tip

Post by Fitzystigertank » Tue Jan 08, 2008 2:05 pm

ok for those that are having trouble getting the hellcat wings to stay open and not sag heres a tip. it's going to be kinda hard to explain, so i'll do my best.
When first unfolding the wings DO NOT have the landing gear down and locked.
second the white, we'll call it a "pin" that you had to slide into the wing when assembling the wing should be pushed in as far as it can go. do this with the wing half unfolded push the wings together. now put the gear down and lock it while pressing the wing together. the wheels locked in the down position keep the "pin from sliding out.
if you still see gaps between the wing look to see where the wings meet each other next to the guns and see if they touch each other. if they do get a peice of sanding paper or what i used was a nail file that women use to sand there nails and sand it down a bit. keep fitting the wing together till they don't touch each other. the "pin" shouldn't slide out cause you have the wheels holding it in. it'll take a few trys but don't do to much sanding, you don't want to have a big gap there.
I'm going to have this post here for a while then i'll have the mod move it to the reference room.
