dusty trails wild west figures???????????
Saw these about a year ago on the web,has anyone heard when they are coming out or not......

No
I think all DT 1:18 plans are gone. They seem to be out of that business, and with their paras on clearance I think it makes sense.
There is 21st & BBI, that's it (maybe soon Admirality). That's how important those companies are - they are the ONLY ones doing accurate 1:18 scale military now that Dragon appears to be out. So, when people whine about how long it takes for the new planes to show, they should consider the fact that NOBODY else is making them, so we are on their schedule.
When we cry about what AC is long overdue, we need to ask ourselves what they should not have made instead. We need a _____. Well, we used to need a P-38, and we used to need a Dora, and we used to need a P-40, Corsair, Stuka, 109E, 109G, Spitfire, etc.... We should be real thankful for these two companies because as I said, that's it.

Could you guys clarify what you actually saw/found? To my knowlege Dusty Trail did not ever get around to producing the 1:18 scale modern military (Soldier of Fortune) or the Wild West figures. I kept in touch with them throughout the year on this and was led to believe there was no activity on them.
Since the market is clogged with such merchandise right now, this might have been a good decision on their part, however if they are factoring sales of their paratrooper figures into the decision then that is unfortunate. Those figures were crap and it should be no surprise that they sold poorly. How many people in the 1:18 scale community want a non-articulated somewhat poorly sculpted figure? Few, I wager. Those that did buy probably bought for the parachute and threw the figure away, which makes for an expensive parachute at $8/pop. Basically what you had there was an (expensive) toy for kids.

The Dusty Trail figures I saw were 2-3 different Western figures with one being a Gunfighter, I believe.. The Modern Army were Desert Storm/Iraqi Freedom style.. But I coulda swore they were much larger than 1/18, and not quite 1/6, but somewhere inbetween..
They looked like this:

Right, you are correct in your recollection, those are much larger than 1:18 scale - somewhere right in the middle of 1:18 and 1:6 I'd say. Also, those are not action figures but statues.
