Anyway, I ordered the S1 F-104C USAF from Bad Cat's last week and was eagerly anticipating it until it arrived yesterday. Opened it to find they had shipped a FW-190 "Michaelski" instead, while the packing slip(with the 'historically correct' FW-190 decals)plainly stated I had ordered the Starfighter.
Anyone have any problems with BCT lately except me?

Anyone have any problems with BCT lately except me?
Hi guys. I've been lurking on this site(and the old Groundpounders)for awhile. Really enjoy the opinions, reviews and comments I've seen, and I really hate that my first post has to start with a sour note.

I wouldn't really complain that much if this hadn't been the second time this has happened to me; I ordered the S1 Graf 109G in September but received the Desert 109E instead. Since I didn't already have the desert version I let that one slip by without a complaint, but I just returned to the BCT website to find the S1 Starfighter is SOLD OUT.
Anybody else out there with horror stories of their own?

VENTING
Its ok to Vent,, but I do aggree,, take this up with Badcat, if they do not exchange it properly then you have a beef.. I have ordered several items from them with no problems. I do know their return policy and Customer service is first rate....t
Sorry to hear that
First, welcome.
Second, you are not alone in noticing the decline in service at BCA, but I think you lucked out here in that you can get a refund and buy the Starfighter at WM for $40. Mistakes happen, so you might just want to look at the bright side.
If it were the Rall 109 or another HTF plane then I think you would be further "up the creek."
On a side note anyone notice how fast the 104 sells out every time they get some? No doubt in my mind that is the fastest selling 1:18 Jet, and it bodes well for our getting the F-4 out of 21st after the F-86.

First off mistakes do happen, especially this time of year with scads of Christmas orders and everyone wants their item, now, now, now. Contact BCT and i'm sure they'll make it right.
Secondly, yes i have noticed the popularity of the F-104 and i'm surprised by it but there's no denying how well it seems to have been selling. I suspect there are even some at 21c that are surprised by its popularity..

Sorry about the venting guys, maybe it wasn't appropriate.
I've been collecting 21st stuff since 2000 and I guess I've been lucky avoiding the disappointments that seem to come so often to some of you. A second screwup in only 3 months chapped my behind, but I just got off the phone with BCT and they say they'll rectify the problem; here's hoping anyway.

Welcome Pursuit.
Don't worry, most of us here realize that you're not out to 'bash' BCT. Most everyone would raise some concern over being nipped on 2 orders like that.
It's good you gave them a call though to sort it out. I'm sure it is a crazy time of year for BCT.
I hope it all works out for you!

Never had that sort of problem, but perhaps it stems from the fact that at some times, they are dealing with a high volume of shipments and some things are bound to get mixed up in the process. (Afterall, they do claim to sell more 1:18 aircraft and vehicles than TRU!)
I have dealt with their customer service before (replacing a missing part for the BBI Zero) and found it to be excellent. Give them a call - they should have your order on their computer and will be able to verify the mistake and correct it!

whoa
Eh, careful there. Nobody ever said vehicles....tmanthegreat wrote:(Afterall, they do claim to sell more 1:18 aircraft and vehicles than TRU!)
xd
I ordered a M-41 from Bad Cat and they sent me a 1/32 scale one. The next day I got the 1/18 one. I called and told them I'd send the 1/32 one back. They just told me to keep it. I also recieved two F/A-18 pilots with two left hands from BCT, two weeks later I got a package shipped straight from somewhere over seas.
I ordered a P-51 from Toy-Fed and it came with a broken prop, they sent me a new one and told me to keep the broken one. (The plane, that is.)
Both places did good.

Uh, forgot about this thread,
Anyway they got me too, preordered the green Zero a month ago and it apparantly didn't go thru now they're sold out...
Since I didn't get an email for the preorders on Pudgy and the 2 new 21st Mustangs I'd say those didn't go thru either. I guess what pisses me off most is the intro preorder price was $44.95, when they restock they'll be higher. I'm sure Rob would let me have one for the initial price but man that is one problem with ghosting preorders that needs corrected ASAP...
