I go down in my basement where they are once a day.

Yeah, I go down to the basement once a day, too. Just to look around and make sure none have moved out of the line of sight; also to make sure the fishing line is still holding the 1/18 planes- The wife would not tell me if one had crashed and burned. You also look often to see if a new display scheme suddenly occurs to you.

I have very little space so my XD stuff is always all around me. So I can easily see if something needs to be dusted or moved. It has to share space with Transformers and Star Trek starships as well.
BTW everyone probably knows this already, but those short, wide, soft brushes women use on their face work really well at dusting models or XD stuff. It gets into the tiny areas but wont break fragile parts.

Slowly but surely, I have been moving XD into the den. Now, on top of the case that holds some of my 1:1 military collection there is my S1 F-104. And, on top of the entertainment center is my AT F-86, S1 Mig, and my bbi Zero. Next, the shelf over the computer will have the new HTs whenever I can get them.
Visit???

I visit the bathroom a couple of times a day...about once to the bedroom and maybe twice to the kitchen. I visit work occassionally and family rarely. I LIVE with the 1/18th stuff.......

My planes are on shelves on the wall. Sometimes I move them around. I also have a desk that I keep my German CL-13 and my 21st Century F-86 on. Those are my favorites, so I seemed to look at them alot.

I have my 21st Spit hanging up along with my Bunker Hill Corsair in my room and my BBI HHH Mustang, my 2 21st Mustangs, along with my BBI Marines Dream Corsair are sitting on shelves. in my room as well. I always check them over to make sure everything is as it should be which means they arent touched by anyone.

Since my toys are not limited to my "bunker" and are all over my house, I find myself examining different pieces four or five times a day. Some of my favorite big pieces (1/6) are poised on a deep shelf over my puter so for self preservation I make sure they haven't been moved. I really wouldn't like my Sdkfz 250 or my 21C Mutt w/106mm RR or my 21C CC/WC-52 in my lap one day as a surpise.
I also find myself re-gluing some pieces at least two days a week. Playfull Jack Russell's tend to not be too gentle when racing through the rooms playing with each other. I don't mind the repair work, the dogs are just too cute. The really big stuff has to be on the floor. All 1/18 stuff are on shelves, 1/32 stuff are in drawers.
Gotta love all my toys and dollies.

I have mine cluttering my man-cave so they are within line of sight at all times, and usual get poked around every day.

They're my POLA G Scale buildings - one of them is just a fraction of itself so it can fit on the shelf. You can see some pics here:

Here's how I spent the better part of the afternoon today. It's a 1/18 scale airshow. I probably should have mowed the lawn.

MY OH MY! That's a lot of aircraft. At least you have your priorities in the right order. The grass will be there tomorrow.
Digger, and you downsized? From what? 10 of each tank and halftrack.

Damn, if I had all that, my wife would shoot me, strangle me with one of her 50 handbags or kick me with 1 of her 100 pairs of shoes

Yeah, the grass will be there tomorrow

Those are just the planes I have out of the box. I've got 12 more planes that are still in their packaging.

How long did it take you to get all of those planes out of the house? That must have been a chore. Very cool pictures.

It took about an hour to get them all outside, two at a time. It wasn't a chore really, I actually had fun flying them around, making plane noises, and strafing my dog who followed me in and out of the house the entire time. He thought it was some great game and I rather enjoyed it myself. The weather was about as good as it gets here in Houston, (mid 60's, low humidity, breezy, and sunny) so it turned out to be an afternoon well spent.
