Small Scale Military Headquarters

It seems like hobby master's ground power series is nearing the $30 mark for their models. I remember when they were just $14 bucks. Are they adjusting their prices because of inflation or rising costs?

When Hobby Master had strict MAP policy, all AFVs were sold $18-$22 range. Recently, some slow selling old models were allowed to be on sale. In the future, seeing AFVs in $14 will not be a norm. It’s just supply and demand. There are many collectors who are willing to pay premium for Hobby Master AFVs. And, I respect that.

However, I would not pay close to $30 for 1/72 AFVs. Personally, anything above $20, I have to hesitate and make sure the AFV is really special. I have to ask my self, “ Should I spend $20+ on a Hobby Master AFV or one of the following?:

1/72 Corgi B-17 $50
1/72 Hobby Master F-4 Phantom $35
1/72 Corgi Stuka $18
1/72 Dragon Armor $10
1/32 FOV tank $40
1/35 Minichamps tank $60

I am sure we all have a budget. It’s just deciding “more bangs for bucks.”

My guess is it has more to do with smaller production numbers than Chinese workers getting their salaries doubled to $1.25/hour.
