Very nice diorama. I think the Achilles look a bit too "factory fresh". However, the jagdpanzer looks awesome, though I am not sure if jagdpanzers were used in Caen.

I would agree with you about the Achilles, it does look too new. I am still waiting on the radio aerials and once I get them i am going to sit down and weather it.
As far as the Jagdpanzer IVs, the 12th SS Pz Div had 10 of them delivered to its Panzerjager Abteilung 12 on the 10th of April 1944, and 11 more on June 11th. The first kompanie of the PzJg Abteilung 12 was declared combat ready on July 6th when it received and subsequently trained on the first 10 Jagdpanzers, and the 2nd kompanzie was declared combat ready on July 30th when it received the second shipment of 11 Jagdpanzers. The only thing inaccurate about the Jagdpanzer I used in my dio is the fact that it is is the long gunned L/70 version, and the ones that PzJg Abt 12 used were the L/48 version. The first units to receive the L/70 version were Panzer Brigades 105 and 106, and that was in August 1944.

Oh yeah. I think that the jagdpanzers in normandy were the shorter barrelled gun, with a muzzle break.

Nice looking diorama, PanzerArm.
Dirty up the Achilles, and it will be even better.
Thanks for posting.

Very cool! Please tell me about the buildings. Are they 1/35 or 1/32?

Very nice diorama and great pictures. What is the overall footprint of the dio?

To answer all your questions:
Ketelone, the buildings are 1/32. The village in its entirety (minus a few accessories I added) is a premade set produced by Frontline Figures.
Hworth, the jagdpanzer is a vintage 1/32 kit produced by Monogram.
Jlspec, the dio is 24"x 32". The backdrop is 30"x 12" or so.

UK,
Of course. Now I recognize it. Have you ever seen the K&C village? It is or was made by Formcast... As a matter of fact K&C is redoing the original village in their 'resin' heavy duty materials....
