Bravo Team 1:18 Tiger will not be available in Target in Spring season

Hmmm, OK...well, to a certain extent I suppose it depends on how they define "spring season", I mean in these parts Spring doesn't begin officialy or weatherwise until about mid March, so I'm not particularly alarmed by this news. The FOV Tiger, and WWII figures have yet to appear in Target stores around here, but I'm confident that they will in the not too distant future. All the BBI 1:18 stuff has gone on clearance at my area Target stores, and I feel this is a sign they are attempting to "make room" for new stuff.

I found the new FOV Tiger today at one of my local Target stores. It looked tempting, very tempting, and I spent a good 10 minutes standing there in the aisle looking it over. Ultimately, I decided to pass. I've got two of the 21c Tigers which are of far better quality in my opinion. Still I will say the FOV Tiger did look very good in person. The colors were nice and flat and the zimmermit coating looked fantastic. Still, I like my 21c Tiger better

QUESTION:What new items will be available in Bravo Team next spring and fall?

FOV ANSWER:We are going to have Stryker and M16 Multiple Gun Motor in next Fall in Target Stores.

They really are shaking things up! Well, except for the WWII re-makes, but hey.. If they can do a Stryker, they can do the T-34, etc.. so clearly they have a 1:18 modeler sitting at a bench somewhere...

well the M16 is another duplication and the Stryker is basically a modified LAV, so my enthusiasm for these announcements is pretty low.

Thanks to Yoxford for the intel though....nice to have a mole at Unimax.

I'm starting to wonder if i'll live long enough to see a Stug and T-34...

Well, a Stryker would be very nice. I have been hoping for one of them for a while. Too bad it will be another year though.

Yoohooooo!

Just found/picked up the Tiger at my local Target...got three in

Very happy with it. Already have it ripped apart...tons of potential.

The running gear is philips head screw mounted and the entire right and left sides slide up and off with easy access to revove the road wheels.

the dia. of the comanders hatch is a bit bigger than the 21st century so a swap with the 21st MG rail is a no go...

The nasty molded shovel on the front deck is molded solid except for the actual shovel head. So easy sand off with just a little bit to fill in...also need to sand off the molded handles and bend a few bits of wire...

The rear exhaust/covers are also screwed in and and will be an easy swap with my 21st Century Tiger

Oh and the Tiger had a floppy gun tube, easy fix with a little plastic shim.
the turret removes with 4 screws, plenty of room to add scopes and poss transplant of internal detail....

I wouldn't be to down about these releases. At least we can see that FOV has plans for another wave of vehicles after the M1, M3, Tiger, and Sherman. I view this as good news in itself.

At least with the Stryker we hopefully won't be getting a straight LAV-25 re-hash. If FOV does it in likeness to their soon to be released 1/32 Stryker. Plus it has enough changes to the overall look and some size that it shouldn't look so identical.

Hey man,
How easy would it be to do like Aferguson said about getting an extra FOV Tiger and put on the missing road wheels. Are you saying that they simply screw on with phillips screw driver?
This sound like good news.

Yes, the left and right side road wheels are on plates that slip up from the hull. Once removed the screws for the wheels are exposed, but the only way I see right now to ADD the outer road wheels to a display Tiger is to do the above procedure to the donor Tiger... remove the extended wheels, CUT off the extended outer wheel and stem from the inner wheel (as they are molded together, then glue the extended wheel to the inner wheels on the display Tiger.
