Was this a missed opportunity?

Post by pcoughran » Fri Dec 05, 2008 7:42 am

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 3DWatching

Saw this on Evilbay a couple days ago and after confirming it wasn't the RC version I debated and debated (not knowing exactly what it should be worth) Could have Buy It Now for $24.99 and $18 for shipping. Someone did best offer of $23 and got it late last night.

Did I screw up? What are these worth MIB - granted the box looks like it has been stepped on. I would like to get one of these but what's reasonable? I'm pretty sure I screwed the pooch on this one.

I personally wouldn't sweat it. M113s weren't very popular when they were out. I'm sure more will pop up on these. The vast majority of them were sold on a major discount due to poor sales.

I saw this one last night as well and thought about getting it. I already have the RC version stripped and filling the holes in it to customize so I passed on this one.

Regardless it was a good deal for sure.

The m113 represents 21C ability to run thier company like a schizophrenic drunk. jumping from one thing to another with out any real thought. trying to do everything and nothing at once.

ah...wasted opportunities by 21c. What a shame.
I talked with them at the Ihobby show in Chicago and they have no plans at all for a T-34. every year I have lunch with M.Cordero president of operations and he asks what customers want. I say 1/32 1/18 T-34,Puma or Cromwell. they just look at me and say nothing.
how many repaints can a guy take!

I really like the helicopters (probably from my Army background) and after finally scoring one of the Hoghead II Hueys, thought it would be nice to have another Vietnam era piece of armor to go with it. I don't really like the Bulldog tanks, but the M113 is pretty cool (not the RC version). Guess I could always tear down the Hoghead a little, repaint, and try to make a UH-1N version for more modern Marine use. At least then it would go with all the other modern Choppers I already have.
