Here is a quick video that shows the basic steps to do one of these. It was done over the course of a week. Pickelhaube makes a great kit at a great price! Thanks Mathew for all your hard work and thank you to everyone for your support!! Hope you enjoy

Jon you are a genius model builder and historian - brilliant work mate on both the Wirble and video. Also many thanks to Matthew who is the preeminent manufacturer of 1/18 scale models, and who we are very grateful to have doing such fantastic work and without whom this project would not have been possible.

Hadn't thought of that - Pickelhaube being a preeminent manufacturer of 1/18 scale models, but its true.CanberraPaul wrote:Also many thanks to Matthew who is the preeminent manufacturer of 1/18 scale models, and who we are very grateful to have doing such fantastic work and without whom this project would not have been possible.
When one thinks about it, between Pickelhaube, grunt1, and Merit, those are about the only "manufacturers" making new 1:18 military models at this time. (We could count BBI, but they've only been issuing repaints and minor retools so far, so that doesn't really count as new). This year, there have only been two completely new 1:18 aircraft, and one of them was Pickelhaube's
Sorry to steal the thread from the Wirblewind topic, but CanberraPaul hit on an important fact that needs a little promotion

Thanks guys, yes it is true and dont apologize for anything Tman, Mathew dosent get enough recognition for all his work and though I have moved on to collecting 1/16 stuff on the ground as apposed to 1/18 on the ground, I still have a huge collection of 1/18 planes and am so thankful for the Horton and upcoming stuff like the Fw190A mod!!tmanthegreat wrote:Hadn't thought of that - Pickelhaube being a preeminent manufacturer of 1/18 scale models, but its true.CanberraPaul wrote:Also many thanks to Matthew who is the preeminent manufacturer of 1/18 scale models, and who we are very grateful to have doing such fantastic work and without whom this project would not have been possible.
