If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.

Lest anyone wasn't able to sense my sarcasm in my last post; never fear, I expected Britt to put up a couple Skyraider shots. He has a bit better access to some planes than I do! I just thought it kinda funny that we both had shots of the same Marine Skyraider...
That and my feelings were kinda hurt when everyone oohed and awed over the Marine blue from Britt's pictures, but never even seemed to notice mine...
Anyway, I have a question about the camo plane in this shot. What's the deal with the bigger canopy, was this a trainer or a model that served a different role? I was also stumbling in that my shot seams to have another helmet in a position that would be side by side with the pilot, but these planes are not that big, so it was baffling me a little.

p51: Who is piloting that Marine Skyraider? <edit> Sorry, I meant in your picture, not mine!! (Although I couldn't tell you who was flying it in mine either, as it was part of a Vietnam ground rescue reenactment at Vegas 2005 and I either couldn't hear the announcers or wasn't paying attention because I was more interested in the X-45B!)

Able Dog - SPAD - The Truck - This is one of the most brilliant attempts in any scale. Covers Korean War - between Korea - and then Vietnam - colors from bright blue, to gray, to Southeast Asia - markings are some of the most colorful put on a plane. Even if one doesn't like the scheme - paint it. If true and if its up to any decent standard, probably end up with as many as I have Corsairs - try 20 - kinda like Corsiars. Just wish that BBI/ELITE didn't have the goofy framing in the F4U canopy.

G'day All
I have just noticed that on the tooling sample images of the A1 which that Jason posted below, that there are some significant location pins on both the centreline and inboard hard-points, to me the size of these pins suggests a fairly heavy piece of plastic will be slung from here.
Three drop tanks consisting of one high-speed low drag drop tank for the centreline and two high-speed low drag fin stabilised drop tanks for the wing pylons.
Or maybe a one high-speed low drag drop tank for the centreline and two MK 84s on the wing pylons like that pictured below.

I’m becoming more and more excited with the untold prospects for this aircraft.

Now this leads me to believe the following combinations may be in consideration for these hard points:Jason of Admiral Toys wrote:1:18

It is an armor shield.
A round though the crankshaft is not something that the plane, or pilot will enjoy

I hope it’s adjustable, because I would like to see the detail of the radial engine.Moth wrote:It is an armor shield.

It also appears that this A-1 is a Southeast Asia specific skyraider due to the armor plating.
I doubt we will see Korean version, unless the Armor plating is not part of the main mold of the fuselage.

to me it looks like they fold inward
